Graduate Profile:

PPGTEL graduates are expected, according to their trajectory within the program, to:

a) Critically reflect on the various functions of language and language technologies in different situational and historical contexts, and be able to take a position on issues related to the field;

b) Diagnose phenomena related to the teaching and learning of Portuguese and foreign languages in the contemporary world, considering the specificities of multiple literacies and being able to propose alternatives for improving basic education;

c) Reflect on the specificities, production, circulation, and reception of literary texts, and use this knowledge in their development as writers of prose and/or poetry;

d) Seek to work collaboratively in networks, updating their knowledge and creating pathways to overcome fragmented thinking that still persists in research and teaching;

e) Contribute to the debate on the relationship between language and language technologies, analyzing how they are interconnected.
